A NON-FATPHOBIC DOCTOR WITH BEAUTIFUL EYES WHO WROTE A BOOK? WE’VE GOT TO SEE THIS.

Well, well, well, if it isn’t Doctor Joshua Wolrich in the FLESH.

It’s like it was just yesterday I WhatsApp’ed him a recording of me wheezing to ask him what was wrong with me. Because it was. It was yesterday. He told me to go see a doctor. RUDE. What’s the point of being friends with a doctor if you can’t send them photos of weird rashes on your left labia at 3am in a panic?

Anyways.

He went ahead and wrote a book. Oh, so you’re claiming he’s a handsome doctor who’s also fighting fatphobia who also has a cute dog and can play the guitar and sing and AND ALSO HE CAN WRITE A BOOK? Yes, that’s unfortunately what I’m telling you.

Full disclaimer, I’ve not fully read the entire book yet, but I’ve read most things Dr. Wolrich has posted on the internet AND I’ve skimmed the book and I read really nice things like ‘Your weight doesn’t define your health’ and ‘regaining weight is almost inevitable’ and other sweet, sweet information about health. He debunks all the annoying diet stuff and all the ‘nutri-bollocks’ as they call it.

Being a fat person, it’s rare to find a doctor that you’re not scared will put you on a diet, just by looking at you. So this is nice.

He even bloody did my podcast.

So, here are some links to where you can buy his book. They’re affiliate links, which means that the companies pay me a teeny tiny percentage of the money you spend on the book. Don’t worry, the money doesn’t come out of Joshua’s pockets. (Even if it did, that’s fair, because he’s a white, male doctor, HE’LL BE FINE.) It’s like these companies PAY ME to bring this book to YOUR attention. Which I think is only fair. So if you use any of these links to buy the book, you’d be doing a great thing for me, Joshua AND yourself because the book is AWESOME and essential reading.

Resisting weight loss has been beneficial from an evolutionary perspective for millennia. For most of human existence, food was a scarcity, so any energy we managed to consume was held onto as much as possible.
